Dr.
Kim-Farley serves as the World Health Organization (WHO)
Representative to India. He also serves as the
Vice-Chairperson of the United Nations (UN) Theme Group
on HIV/AIDS for the Joint UN Programme on AIDS (UNAIDS)
in India.
Dr.
Kim-Farley holds M.D. degree from the University of
California at San Francisco, an M.P.H. degree from the
University of California at Los Angeles, and a B.S.E.E.
degree in Electronic Engineering form the University of
California at Santa Barbara. He is Board Certified in
Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
Dr.
Kim-Farley has previously served as the WHO
Representative to Indonesia; Director of the WHO
Expanded Programme on Immunization, Geneva, Switzerland;
Public Health Advisor for the United States Agency for
International lDevelopment (USAID), Washington, D.C.;
Regional Advisor for the Expanded Programme on
Immunization, WHO South-East Asia Regional Office (SEARO),
New Delhi, India; Medical Epidemiologist for the United
States Centres for Disease control and Prevention (CDC),
Atlanta, Georgia; and Records Review Officer for the
United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA),
